Avira Antivirus Free Edition is one of the great free antivirus programs out there. Avira is more detectable and scored tops in several tests, though it isn’t complete as some other internet security suites.
F-Secure offers you complete cybersecurity, and services such as VPN and tracker remover deliver superior protection. Also, F-Secure receives consistently top marks from third-party labs.

Avira is also a malware detection and blocking pro with top scores on protection tests from AV-Comparatives and AV-Test. Then there are the excellent performance tuning features, a great password manager, and web protection on par with those included in Chrome and Firefox browsers – but not as much parental controls as some of the other programs in this list.
Avira is a clean and easy to navigate interface, all functionality is where it’s supposed to be. As well as a lot more features with higher package, like VPN service and backup of files in the cloud.

The Intego suite also comes with a bunch of protection for your Mac from malware and hackers. It’s been known since 1997 as one of the most secure programs; there are strong security features to safeguard against hackers, theft, phishing, even being part of Apple’s macOS look.
These include cutting edge features such as keystroke detection and anti-predator protection, an anti-spammer chat filter which can block certain words in various languages.
NetBarrier is Intego’s premium, virus-protected firewall, and a unique offering from this antivirus company for Mac users. This is what makes Intego so valuable, and is available as an included service with most plans; even plans that add PC protection for a little more money are provided with it along with VirusBarrier and Mac Washing Machine — two other useful programs for clearing out clutter from your PC.

The best and safest antivirus program on the market is TotalAV with instant malware scanning, antiphishing and computer optimization features in the free version. And you can even get additional features like real time security and password manager if you go to a premium plan.
TotalAV’s smart scans look for the most malicious files on your system first and then you can customize scans for specific file types or files.
This program is easy and quick to install and takes little system resources and supports multiple devices. It also unites duplicate files, which saves space. But perhaps not as robust a feature, such as behavior detection or firewall.
McAfee
McAfee is an antivirus suite with a great malware scanner and other features that are bound to keep you safe on the internet. They have different subscription plans, including a 2-year plan that can be extremely saver.
McAfee Total Protection is safe to connect VPN connection and $1 Million in ID theft protection. Moreover, the suite monitors Dark Web as well as regular Internet for leaked data that contains your email address or data breaches and notify you on demand if it discovers your email is one.
McAfee was 100% malware detection in my testing, its phishing protection is some of the best in the business, and its anti-ransomware and cryptjacking detection rates are first class. What’s more, its firewall and Wi-Fi security was top-notch – and McAfee even offered a password manager, something you don’t get with other antivirus.
